Lacey Coover, the creative force behind ARTDISTRICT, pursues this project in an experimental fashion, one that serves not only as a platform for dynamic collaborations and public discourse, but also as a vehicle for her personal vision, multimedia artwork and growing curatorial practice.
With a seemingly endless list of concepts for future events and enthusiastic support from artists and the local community, Lacey continues ARTDISTRICT playfully and passionately in the spirit of making art happen in Boulder and beyond.
Tremendous thanks to all who supported, inspired and participated in the first phase of ARTDISTRICT!*

*ARTDISTRICT was established in January 2009 by then-recent West Coast transplant and conceptual artist Lacey Coover and Boulder native Lindsey Cash. Both shared a desire to engage and inspire the Boulder community with events that showcased emerging and established contemporary artists. They hoped to inspire participation from diverse audiences and artists working in all types of media. Lindsey left the project in late August 2009 after four events.
